The Native Plant Nook at the Environmental Learning Center (ELC) is closed due to coronavirus concerns. The grounds (only) at the ELC are open for folks to take their own walks.
The ELC is a wonderful place to see how native plants can be used for landscaping! Most of the plantings are more than 25 years old. The site, prior to its transformation with native plants, was a spoil deposition site invaded by Brazilian pepper and Australian pines.
A variety of native plants will be for sale when the ELC re-opens, and the selection will vary. Proceeds benefit the ELC. Visit the ELC website to learn more.
