Holiday Pot Luck 2023

The Eugenia Chapter’s annual Holiday Pot Luck was held Dec. 14, 2023 at the festively decorated historic Heritage Center.

Thanks to all the members who brought such a diverse variety of delicious food items. No one went hungry judging from the empty bowls and serving dishes that remained.

The annual “mobile” gift exchange provided many laughs and friendly “competition” vying for coveted gifts. The most exchanged gift was a colorfully lighted Spanish stopper (Eugenia foetida) with a half dozen of freshly laid eggs under the tree. Maureen Labadie was the lucky winner. Another gift that provided lively comments was this unique watering can; the water pours out of the snout. Fran Robinson made the pig her gift choice. You can purchase one of the pig’s litter mates at Busy Bee nursery.

Eugenia Chapter raffled off 2 tickets (FNPS members eligible) for the upcoming Transforming Landscapes for a Sustainable Future conference sponsored by the Pelican Island Audubon Society (provide link). Carol Thomas and Maureen Labadie were the lucky winners.
